Taylored Printing impliments new technology...

May 17, 2005

By keeping the Taylored Printing facility technologically advanced, our commitment to excellence, shorter lead-times, and fair pricing can be achieved on a daily basis.

Taylored Printing is proud to announce the installation of its newest capital and technological investment—Computer-to-Plate Workflow (CtP). CtP is the process of transferring digital data from computers directly onto printing plates, eliminating more than four steps from the traditional film to plate process. These four eliminated steps include (1) the use of film, (2) stripping and planning of film, (3) exposure of film to plates, and (4) production of chemical proofs. Eliminating these few steps lessens prepress production time and material usage, proving both cost effective and environmentally safer.

In addition to production efficiency and cost effectiveness, CtP offers improved quality. A laser burns digital images directly onto a metal plate, reducing the chances of human error. Finished paper products are dramatically sharper and clearer than products printed using the previous film to plate process.

The following is a summary of the benefits of Computer-to-Plate Workflow.
• Faster Turn-Around Time
• Environmentally Safer
• Cost Effective for Both Printer and Customer
• Better Accuracy, Improved Quality
