File Compatibility

We can work with most graphic design software. We can accept files from the following software applications:

Macintosh
QuarkXPress 7
Adobe InDesign CS4
Adobe Photoshop CS3
Adobe Illustrator CS3

Windows/PC
Microsoft Publisher 2.0

We do not support Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, nor CorelDraw as formats acceptable for printing. Files submitted in these formats will require conversion.

Adobe Acrobat PDF files
We encourage customers to submit press-ready PDF files. However, it is difficult to make changes or correct problems in this format.

Files under 10 megabytes can also be e-mailed to your Customer Service Representative (CSR).

File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
Larger files can be uploaded to our FTP server. If submitting multiple files, compress the files into one archive such as .zip or .sit.

Email ftp@tayloredprinting.com to receive a login and password. Once you receive an address, login and password, you will need to use an FTP client such as Fetch, CuteFTP, LiFTP, or Transmit for Macintosh or Windows Explorer for PC. When complete, contact your CSR or Sales Representative to inform us of the transfer.

Guidelines

Designing and creating print projects can be a rewarding process, but it can present challenges once your files are handed over to be printed. Properly supplied artwork allows us to provide the best printing possible—it is impossible to provide high quality printing using low quality artwork. We recognize that a better prepared computer file will improve the workflow of your project, reduce your frustration, and produce satisfying final results.
